Abstract

The aim to be achieved in this research is to analyze and explain the direct and indirect influence between the variables Financial Literacy, Financial Efficacy, Investment Motivation, Investment Knowledge, Financial Behavior and Investment Decision Making. The population used were College students of Accounting Major of Samarinda State Polytechnic, whose data collected through sampling using purposive sampling technique and obtained a total of 294 respondents' data. The data processed through the PLS model using WarpPLS 8.0 software. Research findings show that: Financial Literacy, Financial Efficacy, Investment Knowledge, and Financial Behavior have a positive and significant effect on investment decision making. Financial Literacy, Financial Efficacy, Investment Motivation, and investment knowledge have positive and significant effect on financial behavior. Financial efficacy, investment motivation and investment knowledge have positive and significant effect on investment decision making through financial behavior variables. Lastly, financial literacy does not have significant effect on investment decision making through financial behavior variables, and motivation variables have no effect on investment decision making. The conclusion from 13 hypotheses proposed in this research, there are 11 hypotheses that have significant positive effect on financial behavior and investment decision making, while on the one hand, there are 2 hypotheses that have no effect.
