WELCOME REMARKS OF MAJOR OF PEKALONGAN CITY

Abstrak

First of all lets presence our gratitude to God almighty because of His blessing we can gather on Internasional Nursing Conference Of Chronic Diseases Management 2019 which hosted by Universitas Pekalongan. Shalawat and salutation, may always be presented to our lord the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam, whom we await his intercession. On behalf of Pekalongan City Government, we are very appreciate for this international nursing conference. We hope this conference will provide additional knowledge about various chronic diseases that hinder the pace of development in general, including poverty alleviation programs, reducing unemployment, improving the quality of human resources and various other development fields. Also its expected inspire both academics and practitioners about the overview of chronic disease policy to anticipate the improvement of chronic disease. Distinguished guests, According to RISKESDAS in 2018, chronic disease was improved year by year. Cancer was improve from 1,4% in 2013 to 1.8% in 2018. Moreover, stroke also improved from 7% to 10.9%. Chronic kidney disease improved from 2% to 3.8%. Diabetes melitus improved from 6,9% to 8,5%, and hypertention from 25,8% to 34,1%. Therefore, in this occasion we appreciate the Pekalongan University especially Nursing School Program Faculty of Health Science, who have organized this activity. We hope that this conference can explore academic potentials to continue developed and published as part of the responsibilities of the tri dharma of higher education in terms of community service. Scientific publications produced by researchers, engineers, lecturers and academics should also be translated into literature that can be understood by community, therefore our effort to overcome the chronic disease can be realized.
