Pemanfaatan Website Matrix Calculator untuk Menunjang Pembelajaran Matriks pada Mahasiswa Matematika
Abstrak
This research aims to directly test the effect of using the matrix calculator website to support mathematics students' learning of matrix material. Matrices are a material branch of mathematics. The use of this technology, especially the internet, such as the Matrix Calculator website, is very helpful in supporting matrix learning, namely by increasing mathematics students' understanding of matrices. The sample in this research was 30 students from the Tadris Mathematics study program at Salatiga State Islamic University. The type of research used is a descriptive quantitative method with a quasi-experimental method. This method was chosen to see the effectiveness of using the Matrix Calculator website in improving the quality of Matrix learning for Tadris Mathematics students. The instrument of this research is to provide a pre-test and post-test questionnaire in the form of an 8-item questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The research results show an increase in students' understanding of matrix material after using the Matrix Calculator, as evidenced by the increase in post-test questionnaire scores compared to the pre-test. All respondents experienced an increase in scores after using Matrix Calculator, showing the effectiveness of the Matrix Calculator website in matrix learning. A technology-based learning approach can increase student motivation and interest in learning. This study provides concrete evidence of the benefits of the Matrix Calculator website in improving understanding of matrix material among mathematics students.
