ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS PENDEKATAN NORMAN FAIRCLOUGHT PADA PEMBERITAAN “INDONESIA USUNG SEMANGAT PULIH BERSAMA DALAM PRESIDENSI G20 TAHUN 2022” DALAM MEDIA DIGITAL INI DIPLOMASI KEMENLU RI

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the linguistic aspects used by the news portal Ini Diplomacy from the Ministry of Finance in informing the development of the Indonesian G20 Presidency. The practice of critical discourse analysis, and the resulting linguistic aspects, as well as social and global practices that underlie the linguistic aspects used in generating the discourse. The purpose of this research is to use the theoretical approach of Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis to see ongoing social practice through the dimensions of the text, discourse exercise, and sociocultural practice that underlies the text or to see the original reality that made the discourse appear. While this research method using descriptive qualitative research is divided into three stages, such as data collection, analysis, and presentation of the results of the analysis. From the results and discussion of the analysis, it is found that the text of the news discourse has not only social influence but also the influence of global economic policy. This news discourse shows the ambition of a small group (in terms of the number of members) who wish to solve global problems facing the nations of the world in an effective way.
