KRITIK SOSIAL DAN NILAI EDUKASI DALAM NOVEL ARGANTARA KARYA FALISTIYANA
The problems in this study are how social criticism and how the educational value contained in the novel Argantara by Falistiyana. The purpose of this study is to 1) describe the social criticism contained in the novel Argantara by Falistiyana and 2) describe the educational value contained in the novel Argantara by Falistiyana. This research uses a qualitative method that produces descriptive data in the form of words that are analyzed and observed. The data were taken fromquotations in the novel Argantara by Falistiyana. The researcher used data analysis techniques using flow analysis in Miles and Huberman’s theory. The data collection technique was carried out using the (BSC) read, listen and record technique, namely reading the entire novel, listening to the novel, and recording every quote and sentence in the novel and also classifying social criticism and getting educational value in the novel. From the results of the study, researchers found social criticism in the social problem of early marriage in the characters of Arga and Syera, the impact that occurs in 4 types of social problems, including, 2 economic, 2 biological, 8 psychological, and 7 cultural. In addition, this research also has educational values obtained in these problems, namely, 2 religious, 2 moral, 2 social, 1 education, 1 health, and 3 family. The educational value can be given to the community, parents and teenagers.
