Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the development of material for triangles and quadrilateral class VII of Islamic Middle School Al-Bayan is needed. This research is an expos facto research. The subject of this research is the mathematics subject teacher at Al-Bayan Islamic Middle School. Data collection techniques using the interview method. The interview was conducted in a structured manner using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire that had been prepared through the validation stage by an expert validator. The instrument was prepared by taking into account the four indicators that were broken down into statements that respondents could choose from. The questionnaire instrument uses a Likert scale measurement technique so that the results to be obtained are classified into four criteria. This study uses quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques to describe the data in the form of numbers. Based on the results of the interviews obtained that the first, second, and fourth indicators included in the criteria needed. As for the third indicator included in the indicator is needed. So if you pay attention to the average for the whole included in the criteria needed. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a teaching material for triangles and rectangles of class VII in Al-Bayan Islamic Junior High School.
