Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to; (1)Based on the results of the research that has been done obtained results; (1)knowing if a STEM based PBL Model is more effective than a direct learning model of the XI high school students, (2) knowing if there’s been a mathematical critical thought of the XI high school students, (3)knowing if there is an interaction between a STEM Based PBL model and a mathematical critical thought to acquisiton of the XI high school students. In study the quantitative pproach used experimental methodes. Based on the results of the research that has been done obtained results; (1) STEM based PBL model are better than direct learning model, (2) The mathematical critical thinking of high, moderate, and low learners has different effects on learning achievement.. Learners who have high mathematical critical thinking ability are better than learners who have moderate and low methematical critical for the performance of learning. Whereas learners who have mathematical critical thinking ability are better than students who have low mathematical critical thinking ability for the performance learning, and (3) There is no interaction between a STEM Based PBL model and a direct learning model with high, medium, and low mathematical critical thinking abilty for the performance of learning.
