Abstract

Green economy is an economic system oriented towards enhancing economic activities from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors towards environmentally friendly and sustainable development priorities. Investment holds the key to achieving a sustainable circular economy. Political years become implicit factors causing volatile fluctuations in stock prices. The uncertainty of output and political navigation results in investor distrust in investing amid political turbulence. This research aims to examine the significance of political aspects on company performance through the perspective of the green economy, understand the potential of society to invest in political years, and efforts to implement green strategies as investment solutions. The research method used is the cumulative valuation method and econometric approach. This is done to assess company performance, the profits obtained, and to examine investor behavior in evaluating stocks in political years. The results of this research reveal that the green stock market is negatively impacted by political upheavals, but not significantly compared to conventional stock markets. Investors tend to be less conservative, thus choosing safe investment instrument assets.
