Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the influence of market sentiment and financial literacy on the investment decisions of Generation Z. Known as an active investing group, Generation Z is often influenced by market trends and has varying levels of financial literacy. In this study, the researchers took a quantitative approach using a survey method with respondents from Generation Z who have made or are currently making investments. To analyze the data, multiple regression was used to examine the relationship between market sentiment, financial literacy, and investment decisions made. The results show that market sentiment has a significant impact on investment decisions. Market movements and public opinion play a role in Gen Z's investment decisions. In addition, financial literacy also plays an important role, where a good understanding of financial and investment concepts can improve an individual's ability to make more rational investment decisions. This finding suggests that improving financial literacy can reduce the negative impact of excessive market sentiment on investment decisions.
