In the era of advanced globalization, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) based investment is becoming an increasingly important approach in creating a positive impact on the environment, society, and corporate governance. This research aims to instill a sustainable investment mindset among the younger generation through cross-generational collaboration. Using a mixed methods approach (qualitative and quantitative), this research examines how youth, particularly Gen Z, can act as agents of change in promoting responsible and sustainable investment.
The results show that the main factors in instilling an investment mindset among the younger generation are financial education, access to ESG-based investment information, and collaboration with the older generation in sharing investment experiences and strategies. The study also highlights the role of digital technology in improving financial literacy and facilitating access to investment for youth. In addition, cross-generational collaboration is proven to accelerate the adoption of ESG-based investment through mentorship and regulatory support.
The conclusion of this study emphasizes that ESG-based investments not only provide long-term financial benefits, but also contribute to sustainable development. Therefore, synergy between youth, senior investors, as well as financial institutions and the government is needed to foster a more inclusive and responsible investment ecosystem.
