Abstrak

Performance management has become an essential element in achieving effectiveness and efficiency in public sector organizations, including the Regional Finance Agency of Pekalongan City. In the public sector, the implementation of performance management often faces unique challenges such as rigid bureaucracy, limited technology, and obstacles in setting relevant performance indicators. This research aims to evaluate the practice of performance management at the Regional Finance Agency of Pekalongan City, focusing on the process of setting goals, performance evaluation, and feedback mechanisms. Using a literature review method, this research highlights challenges and relevant best practices to be implemented in improving employee performance in the public sector. The results of the analysis show that the effectiveness of performance management in this institution can be improved through the development of clear goals, consistent feedback, and the use of technology that supports the evaluation process. These findings are expected to provide practical recommendations for the Regional Revenue, Finance, and Asset Agency in improving performance management strategies and enhancing public service
