Abstract

Business Ethics in the Lens of Generation Z is an important discussion to understand the dynamics of today's world of work. Generation Z, born between 1995 and 2012, brings a new perspective to business ethics influenced by technological developments and high social awareness. This research aims to explore how the ethical values embraced by generation Z influence their behavior in the workplace and their interactions with companies. This research explores Generation Z's ethical values in the workplace and interactions with companies through social media observations. In addition to observations, this research was also carried out by distributing questionnaires to generation Z. They presented many opinions regarding positive steps in changing the image of a generation Z for the sustainability of the future world of work. The assumption that they cannot realize Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is a generalization that is too simple and inaccurate. Generation Z is often the pioneer in pushing for stronger implementation of GCG principles. This generation tends to demand transparency, accountability and social responsibility from companies, which is related to the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). By understanding the characteristics and expectations of Generation Z, companies can adapt more relevant business ethics practices, thereby creating a more comprehensive and sustainable work environment. Generation Z has great potential to be a driving force in realizing stronger GCG. However, they also need to collaborate their thinking with the rules of the working world and overcome barriers. By doing so, we can create a better future for business and society as a whole.
