Abstract

This is an analysis of I’m Not Stupid film using deconstruction theory. This analysis is to analyzing the film relationships between parents and their kid using qualitative descriptive. The result of this study have shown that how is the family education is not only about the academic but cognitive abilities is important too. The key to understanding the definition of deconstructionism is to see what other scholars say about the subject. In short, deconstruction looks at aspects chosen from the past for epistemological assumptions that can be found in literature and film. This once deconstructionism is described and defined by these scholars, my content analysis is not stupid to follow. The three selected scenes will be criticized and interpreted using special characteristics of the deconstruction approach. The first characteristic is the impact that might be possessed by student named Liu Kok Pin. Each selected scene will be deconstructed by these three characteristics, with emphasis on race relations and how they are depicted in each scene. They will be analyzed for unquestioned assumptions that a deconstructionist can reveal in his analysis.
