AbstractThe writer did this development research in order to increase students’ critical reading skill by developing material from movie in the form of teaching medium. This teaching medium is expected to make students able to increase their critical reading skill. The movie used for developing teaching medium was “Enola Holmes” movie. The making process followed Borg and Gall development models, which follows 5 steps. After the teaching medium was finished, it was tested through validator test. Finally, after all of them were completed, the medium was ready to be used for teaching critical reading for the fifth semester students of English Education of Universitas Pekalongan.
