Peran Tenaga Fisioterapi Pada Kasus Asma Bronchiale Dengan Menggunakan Modalitas Inframerah, Inhalasi dan Latihan Buteyko

Abstract

Asthma Bronchiale is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airway. This inflammation causes recurrent episodes of coughing, wheezing, chest thightness, and difficulty in breathing. The problems that arise in people with asthma bronchiale are: chest pain, respiratory muscle spasm, shortness of breath, and decreased functional activity. In this case the technology is chosen to overcome the above problems by using infrared, inhalation and buteyko exercise. This research was conducted in BBKPM Surakarta with descriptive analytic research design. Research subjects in Scientific Writing is a patient with Asthma Bronchiale condition that will be given physiotherapy intervention with infrared, inhalation and buteyko exercise. The research design used is case study design. The research instrument consists of examination of pain, muscle spasm, shortness of breath and ability of functional activity. After therapy was given as much as 4 times the results obtained as follows : (1) There was no decrease of pain disease T4 = 3. (2) There is decrease shortness of breath T4 = 0. (3) There was a decrease of spasm T4 = 0. (4) There was an increase in functional activity with 6 minute walking test T4 = 391m distance. The conclusion of this research was that the physiotherapy modalities with infrared, inhalation and buteyko exercise can help to reduce the problems that arise in the condition of asthma bronchiale.
