Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving Untuk Mengembangkan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa Kelas X Pada Topik Eksponen

Pemahaman konsep matematis merupakan hal yang diperlukan murid dalam melihat hubungan antar konsep matematis. Pemahaman konsep matematis akan terlihat dari bagaimana murid menyatakan ulang konsep, mengembangkan syarat cukup dan perlu, serta kemampuan murid dalam memilih prosedur yang ingin digunakan. Nyatanya, ini masih menjadi sebuah masalah dalam pembelajaran. Pada penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti pada kelas X pada sebuah sekolah di Lampung ditemukan rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis murid. Metode pembelajaran creative problem solving merupakan pembelajaran yang diharapkan mampu mengembangkan pemahaman konsep matematis murid dengan menerapkan 3 tahapan yaitu, mengidentifikasi masalah, menemukan ide/solusi, serta melakukan eksekusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan memaparkan upaya yang dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran creative problem solving dalam mengembangkan pemahaman konsep matematis murid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perkembangan pemahaman konsep matematis murid setelah diterapkan metode pembelajaran tersebut dalam pembelajaran. Saran yang diberikan peneliti yaitu guru perlu mengukur kemampuan awal murid sebelum menerapkan metode pembelajaran ini dan dapat mengalokasikan waktu tahapan dengan tepat.

Understanding mathematical concepts is what students need to see the relationships between mathematical concepts. The understanding of mathematical concepts can be seen from how students restate concepts, develop necessary and sufficient conditions, and the ability of students to choose the procedures they want to use. This is still a problem in learning. In a study conducted by researchers in class X at a school in Lampung, it was found that student's understanding of mathematical concepts was low. The creative problem-solving learning method brings learning that is expected to develop students' understanding of mathematical concepts by applying 3 stages, namely identifying problems, finding ideas/solutions, and designing execution. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to explain the efforts that can be made through the application of this learning method in developing students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The results of the study show an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts after the implementation of this learning method. The suggestion given by the researcher is that teachers can assess students' initial abilities before implementing this learning method and can allocate the stages time appropriately.
