Analisis Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Siswa Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal HOTS Pada Materi Matriks Berdasarkan Teori Polya
This research aims to describe students' abilities in solving HOTS type questions on matrix material based on polya theory. This research method uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Kedungwuni with research subjects 33 students of class XI F 6. The instrument used was a test instrument consisting of 2 HOTS type description questions on matrix material. The results of the research showed that 9 students' problem solving abilities (27.3%) were in the high category, 22 students (66.6%) were in the medium category, and 2 students (6.1%) were in the low category. From this research it has been obtained that students' problem solving abilities are based on the polya stages, namely at the understanding the problem stage, determining the plan stage, implementing the plan stage, and checking back stage, there are still students who do not carry out these four stages. Students' problem solving abilities are still in the low category, students are expected to continue learning and practicing so that students are more accustomed to solving HOTS type problem solving problems.
